Chapter 58. His Retaliation
Tiara POV
I’ve never experienced a deception that harmed me as much as Vincent did. Even though I was out of breath, I continued to stand in front of him and maintain his stare, as if waiting for him to tell me he was joking. That what he had told me had not happened. That I wasn’t the one paying for my father’s wickedness.
I noticed some changes in Vincent, but I would not let it influence my judgment.
I returned to the only place that didn’t betray me, my apartment. I didn’t have any paintings left as I had taken them all to the gallery and destroyed them.
Although I’d have liked to spend some time alone, I would have wanted to look for Mara. And even though Vincent wasn’t at this apartment, it made me think of him.
