Chapter 102. You Two Are My World

We drove for what felt like days, barely stopping to take a break or get some rest. We were focused on getting to our destination as quickly as possible.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, we arrived at our destination. We were in a small town, far away from our old home and all the trouble that had followed us there.

As we stepped out of the car, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief. We were finally safe.

Riccardo put his arm around my shoulders and pulled me in close.

“We did it,” he said. “We made it.”

He smiled down at me, and I smiled back. I couldn’t believe that, after all this time, we had finally made it to our new home.
