Chapter 53
Third-Person POV
Faith slowly combed her long hair and when she finished, she decided to leave her and Martin’s room to go down to the kitchen and cook their lunch. Martin still felt unwell when he woke up, even at noon.
“Cita, what are you cooking?” she asked their cook.
“Mr. Martin said I should cook pesto pasta.” She smiled at her.
“Wow!” Faith’s mouth watered. “That’s delicious.”
“Yes. I’ll cook so that you, the children, and Mr. Martin can eat early.”
“Thank you,” Faith said. She sat on a chair and watched what their cook was doing. For some reason, she felt very happy just watching her chop ingredients. It didn’t take long before she went back to their room because she suddenly felt sleepy again, even though it was still morning. She had just woken up, and yet at noon she already felt tired. She lay down on the bed and closed her eyes. Faith didn’t realize she had fallen asleep.
