Faith’s POV
“Sean! What took you so long?” I shouted as I waited for my son to join us for our meal.
“Come on, stop shouting. You shouldn’t force yourself, the doctor said so, right?”
I laughed at what my husband said. Is he really that careful with me? As if shouting were a sin.
“You should have just called your son so I wouldn’t have to scream.”
“If I had known you were going to scream, I would’ve called him myself.”
“Seriously, Mom and Dad?” our daughter, Sienna, asked with a frown as she folded her arms.
“Yes, Mom! I’m coming down!” Sean’s voice came from upstairs.
We were already seated at the dining table, just waiting for Sean. We don’t eat until everyone is complete. That’s what we’re used to—unless there’s a valid reason.
