Cristine’s POV

I raised my hand and was about to stab him when his phone suddenly rang above the side table of the bed. I immediately declined the call, and fortunately, it didn’t bother his sleep.

I heaved a sigh of relief and looked at the knife that I was holding. What am I thinking? I’m on a mission, and I should set aside my personal agenda and focus on my task.
