Chapter 15. Obsessed?

Cristine’s POV

“Thank you so much, sir,” I said as I accepted the brown envelope from Sir Wendell.

The envelope contains 30,000 pesos as a payment for my accomplished mission.

“I know that you can do this mission, Cristine. Accept this as a congratulations gift.” He gave me a check, and my eyes widened when I saw the 50,000 peso amount written on it and that it was signed by him.

“Sir--” 

“Shh. It’s all yours, Cristine. Just don’t tell the others,” he whispered, laughing before he patted my shoulders.

I smiled widely as I shake hands with him. Now, I could say that everything has been paid and it’s all worth it.

“You can rest for a while. I’ll just contact you if I ever need your service again.”

I nodded.

“Sure, Sir. I’m just a one call away.”
