Chapter 19. Effort

Cristine’s POV

I woke up early today and prepared immediately to go to work. I put some water in the transparent tumbler with the tulips in it. I’ll just buy a real flower vase when I go to the market.

I got the keys of my motorcycle and got out. After I locked the door, I just realized that there was a car outside my gate. There were two men in black that were standing outside of the car, and it looked like they were waiting for me.

“Good day, Ma’am. Sir Aron is waiting for you inside,” one of the men said when I stepped outside of the gate.

The other men opened the door of the backseat, and I saw him there. He was sitting straight without giving me a glance.

I get inside, and the door is closed.

“Good morning,” Aron said after he removed his sunglasses and looked at me while smiling.

“There’s no good in the morning if your face is the first thing that I see. What do you want from me now?”

He laughed a little while shaking his head.
