Chapter 114. Lamentations for the Fallen

Several days had passed since the Rift opened.

The purple cloud extended all around the central region, already infested with all kinds of Disasters.

Most of the citizens had already left the surrounding towns, heading south, north, or east, some unlucky ones caught in their runs.

There were no reports about what happened in the capital, but everyone, without a word, was able to understand the tragedy.

Arriving at their destination in the town of Vysconia, located south of the capital, Iris, Freya, Mercy, Zuri, and Cid were sitting in front of a building used to receive refugees.

Above them, the sky was starry again, a small consolation.

Iris was listening to the news on the radio, impatient to have some information. Cid, noticing this, sighed.

"What's the point? We know the Rift is open, it's over."

But Iris just ignored him. He gritted his teeth and walked towards her, his hand reaching for the phone when the world turned upside down.
