Carter's POV

"I don't wanna be disturbed while I'm doing this with you. Serena, you can do this as well." Her twisted face which made me amused came up again, why does she require too much attention recently? I chose to ignore it.

I wanted to be strict at some point since we weren't yet married to each other and this would be a contractual marriage, she may not be the one I'll end up with but definitely the one I'll start a family with. I didn't want to invest too much in her emotionally, in case we needed to detach in the future, it would be more difficult.

Even as at this, I needed not do something that would make her feel bad and lose interest in what we are about doing. From my observation, she falls too deep but the slightest thing can make her lose interest, not anything at all but something that makes her lose her urge.
