None of the structures of yesterday was still there, Serena gasped, she was more surprised than I was. I stared out into the open space looking for a while, it seemed like a foreign space. 

"I'm really sorry," I tried to touch her again, she was reluctant this time but less reluctant. I saw this as a perfect opportunity. I got down on my knees, begging her, seeing my teary eyes, my remorse, I was sure that she would listen to me.
