Chapter 388

Carter's POV

This was the only room where I really kept my things and it wasn't me packing from it but Serena, she could mistakenly forget a little thing. The court would be sealing the residence once we confirmed that we had evacuated it and you can no longer come in, except on special request which would most likely be granted because of my status but I wouldn't have the strength to go through the procedures. I was bent on doing the right thing now, once and for all. 

I rushed back to scan the room, something little caught my attention slightly behind the pillow on the couch. "Oh, what's that?" I exclaimed. My heart began to beat hard imagining how I would have done it if I didn't decide to check here. It was my system's hard drive. I raised my hands to my head. 

"Honey?" Serena was rushing up, calling. "What are you doing inside?" She was panicking. Pushing open the door, she walked in scanning everywhere with her eyes.
