Chapter 74. Dance With Me

Milan’s POV

Ava suddenly came up to us and spoke. “Father and Mother, this is my cue to leave you two to enjoy your evening.”

Alpha Jake laughed and said, “Well, that’s quite the cue. Thank you, Ava. It was nice to have you join us.”

“Anytime, Father!” Ava said, grinning. “I’ll be heading home later. Bye!” And with that, she was gone.

I turned to Alpha Jake, and he was smiling at me. “She’s quite the character, isn’t she?”

I nodded, and we both laughed. It was nice to have a moment to relax and enjoy each other’s company. The dinner was delicious, and we talked for hours, getting to know each other better. I felt a connection with Alpha Jake that I hadn’t felt with anyone else before, and I knew that I was beginning to develop feelings for him.
