Chapter 156. Making an Escape

My head hurts so bad, it feels like a vice grip is squeezing my brains out through the top of my head. When the vehicle finally stops, I hear a back gate dropped down and then a few voices are discussing how to get me out of the back of the truck. Only one of the voices is familiar to me, which seems strange. Where are the others, and who are these new people?
“You got him?” I hear a deep, sneering male voice say.
“Yeah, I got him. It wasn’t that hard. Those other guys thought I was an idiot,” Skullmark says with a rich chuckle. I am one of those other guys. I also thought he was an idiot, and I’m still not completely convinced he’s not an idiot.
“Give you any trouble?” the other voice asks. He sounds authoritative, like maybe he’s an Alpha or something.
“No, thanks,” Skullmark says. “I’ve had enough trouble for one day.”
I hear a sigh from the other guy. “I meant… did the Alpha give you any trouble?”
