Chapter 21. I Give You Anything

“I didn’t know you cooked.” Ethan said in amazement.

“When I started dating you, I made it a point to try new recipes every once in a while.” I told him proudly.

We dug in and after a few minutes I noticed that Ethan was being unusually quiet. I glanced over at him, noticing how his fork was still in his hand. I reached over and gently grabbed his fork and began to eat. Ethan gave me a confused look.

“What are you doing?” He asked.

“Just eating.” I replied nonchalantly.

Ethan looked at me suspiciously, but didn’t say anything more. After we finished eating, we headed back into the living room and watched TV until we both fell asleep. When I woke up, it was dark out. I was confused as to why I was sleeping on the couch instead of in my bedroom, but then realized that Ethan must’ve carried me to the couch.

I looked over at the clock and saw that it was three A.M. I stretched a little and then stood up and walked over to the door to check on Ethan. F
