Chapter 20. Give It to Me!

“You’re up early.” He commented. “Is something wrong?”

“No, why?” I questioned.

“No reason. Everything okay?” He asked curiously.

“Yeah, I just wanted to surprise you with breakfast.” I told him.

I handed him the box of chocolates. He gave me a grateful smile and placed a kiss on my forehead.

“Thank you.” He said sincerely.

He went into the kitchen to open the chocolates and then came back to give me a tight hug.

“I love you.” I said quietly into his ear.

He squeezed me tighter for a second before pulling away and smiling at me.

“Love you too, Claire.” He said affectionately.

Ethan and I had become such a good couple. We were so happy and in love with each other. I didn’t even care anymore if people found out about us because it no longer mattered to me.

I loved Ethan and I knew I would forever be in his heart. Furthermore, I smiled shyly and looked away, embarrassed. Furthermore, I heard Ethan chuckle.
