Chapter 31. With Respect and Care
“I want to ask you something, and you need to reply with honesty.” Ethan stated.
“Ok.” I replied slowly.
“Was it worth it?” Ethan asked.
“What?” I asked, confused by the question.
“To try to save the children?” Ethan clarified.
I looked up at Ethan as he held my shoulders in his hands.
“Of course it was worth it.” I replied.
“Even though it might not have worked out in the end, even if the spell didn’t work, or you didn’t survive the night because of what happened.” Ethan said.
“Ethan stop! It doesn’t matter anymore. The spell worked and I’m alive.” I replied with a smile.
“Thank God.” Ethan breathed out, placing his lips onto mine.
I wrapped my arms around Ethan’s waist tighter and kissed him passionately. Ethan pushed me backwards, causing my back to hit the cabinet behind me, causing it to fall over onto the floor, shattering into pieces.
I fell backwards onto Ethan’s chest, causing us to tumble onto the floor. Eth
