Chapter 64. Feel Uncomfortable
We stayed silent for a moment, enjoying the closeness between them, before I spoke up, “Do you wanna talk about it?”
“Not particularly,” he answered.
I nodded in understanding and moved to stand up, “OK. Please let me know if you change your mind, though.”
“Will do,” he replied.
“Bye, then,” I smiled. I leaned forward and gave him a quick peck on his lips.
“Bye,” he repeated.
With that, I left him alone with his thoughts.
An hour later, Jake was still sitting on the couch lost in thought. He sighed heavily, trying to clear his thoughts. But no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn’t get rid of that nagging feeling that there was something that he needed to deal with.
He closed his eyes briefly, trying to force the thought out of his head. After a few seconds, however, it wouldn’t leave. It wouldn’t leave until he confronted me about it.
However, he was afraid to ask me about it. He would rather not make me feel uncomfortable.
