Chapter 41. Confession

Helios finally awakens after nearly 24 hours of deep sleep following the collapse. When he opened his eyes, he saw a beautiful woman sitting on the chair next to his bed. Moon Ryeong is reading a book and completely immersed in it, unaware that Helios' eyes have opened. He takes his time and carefully observes her.

"Helios..." he recalls Moon Ryeong saying to him before he collapsed yesterday. He recalls her gentle eyes filled with concern for the first time she looked at him. He wishes he could see her look at him with such care again.

"Moon Ryeong-ah..." he says softly, his voice hoarse and deep. His voice drew her attention to him, but the worry in her eyes had faded, replaced by her usual straight face.

Helios attempts to sit and leans his upper body against the mattress backrest. Even though he still has a slight headache, he feels better. The lady does not want to distract herself by assisting him, so she simply observes his every move silently.
