Chapter 49. A Spy

While eating ice cream at a nearby cafe, Ha Eun is humming a happy song. She is now accompanied by two adults, as seen through the outside glass window. A lovely young lady and a tall, handsome man with narrow eyes. In contrast to her cheerful demeanor, the two adults appear tense. Moon Ryeong sits straight, looking at Sung Gi, while the man leans his upper body behind him and rests one arm on the table.

"How is your life going? Isn't it difficult to live as a vampire?" After a long silence, the man initiates the conversation.

"Huh. Why are you interested in my life? Do you not loathe me?" Moon Ryeong responds to his friendly question with a sarcastic remark. Sung Gi laughs mockingly at her response.
