Chapter 129. The Darkest Moments
Izabella stopped at the bottom of the steps and looked at her visitors.
Her Aunt Xania showed her companion something in the photo album usually displayed at the console table. Her companion was facing their direction, so Izabella had a chance to study her profile like in a trance.
She thought their young woman visitor embodied the ideal of a beautiful woman with a slim figure, light complexion, and a shapely neck that flowed into her seductive body. But what drew her in were her gorgeous eyes, full lips, and head shape covered in red copper hair. She gently prodded her stepbrother, who appeared enthralled by her attractiveness.
"You like her beauty?" She teased him in a whisper.
He responded with a soft laugh, "Sure, but I feel like I was staring at a different image of yourself, Iza, aside from the fiery hair and dark eyes."
"What?"
"She seems a little taller than you, but you virtually look the same."
