Chapter 31. Fallon's Game

Linda’s POV

Fallon Knight. The name did not ring a bell. It did not sound familiar at all. Could Ben be lying to me? He just confessed to killing Mitch!

After releasing a shaky breath, I took another step away and said, “You just told me that you had nothing to do with it, Ben. You lied. How do I know that you’re not lying to me right now?” 

It was getting windy, the coldness of the night making itself known. 

“Hear me out, okay?” He took a step closer and I flinched, causing a hurt look to cross his face. He then shook his head slowly as he continued, “Linda, I’m not the bad guy here, trust me.” 

I forced a smile. I could not believe that my brother was a murderer. 

“You have five minutes to make me believe otherwise,” I replied, wrapping my arms around my body.
