Indescribable pain tore through my whole body the moment I opened my eyes. The pain could almost be likened to countless sharp needles pricking one's skin.

My breath came out in slow pants, and even that was an effort. I roamed my eyes over the ceiling, trying to figure out where I was. 

The memories gushed into my mind, like an unwanted sore.

I made to sit up on the bed, but then I quickly found out that my body was numb. It felt almost like lead...
