Chapter 48. A Ruined Banquet and a Broken Heart

Emily’s POV

"What a lovely banquet, Emily!" Amy declares excitedly to me. "Can I steal you away for a moment, Your Majesty?" Amy asks Benson, who gives my best friend a friendly smile. I give Benson a farewell kiss before Amy pulls me away.

Some members of the Moon Shade Pack gather around to congratulate me along with Amy.

"We have a surprise for you. As a wedding gift!" Amy declares. I look around, and all the girls are brimming with excitement.

"What have you guys been up to?" I joke. Amy and the girls from the Moon Shade Pack lead me out of the hall, heading towards the balcony, which is also perfectly decorated.

"All of us, together, prepared this for you," Amy announces as she leads me to a decorated table. On the table sits a medium-sized red velvet box.
