Chapter 51. Fragments of Truth

Emily’s POV

I still feel Benson's steps behind me as I make my way inside the house. Before entering, I turn to face Benson.

"Please leave me alone... I don't want to see you anymore," I say in a pleading tone. Benson's eyes narrow at me, and he stops halfway.

My father appears at the door, and I walk towards him.

"Is everything okay, my little wolf?" Dad asks, concerned, and I shake my head. "I believe it would be best for Your Highness to leave," David suggests to Benson firmly. My father's arms come around me, embracing my shoulders.

I watch Benson get into the car and leave. My tears lessen as I watch him go, and my father gently strokes my shoulders.

"Come, let's go inside," Dad suggests tenderly, leading me into the house. "What happened, my daughter?"

I don't want to tell my father about my conversation with Benson. It still resonates in my mind and still
