Chapter 20. Revelations

Sophia's POV

"Sophia, the supernatural world does exist." Hyperion started to speak calmly, I know he was analyzing my reactions.

I guess it was pretty clear my disbelief because Perseus took a deep breath and rolled his eyes.

"It's not quite like the books you read... I looked it up, but some facts are quite similar." Hyperion continued, but my debauched smile was even more visible.

"That won't work." I heard Perseus muttering and then he turned to me.

Immediately I felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end, and I could see in his eyes as if I were his prey. I am very careful to keep my breathing even, not showing any reaction.

I remember what I said last night to Alex, that there was something in his eyes like there was something beyond himself and it gets more intense as I see Perseus. What does he intend to do with it? Scare me?
