“My phone got stolen. There’s some private stuff on it. Can you wipe all the data remotely?” Cassandra spoke fast and to the point.

“That’s it?” The man sounded almost insulted. After a short pause, he threw a few more questions at her.

Cassandra answered each one clearly and truthfully.

Within minutes, the man told her it was done.

After handing the driver’s phone back, Cassandra sat down in the car.

Only then did she realize her legs were shaky and weak. She wiped the cold sweat from her forehead and finally exhaled in relief.

Damn, that was way too close for comfort.
