No one objected at the scene.

First day at the institute, Lilah had already earned everyone’s approval.

That evening, Dr. Harrison personally dropped her off at the villa.

Just before stepping out of the car, she paused for a second and asked, “Professor, is it easy to rent a car around here? Why don’t you just rent one for me? You coming and going like this is really too much.”

“It’s not a hassle at all,” Dr. Harrison said, though he clearly noticed Lilah didn’t seem keen on being chauffeured. He cleared his throat and added sensibly, “If you’d rather not have me drive you, there’s a new car in the garage. The keys are with the housekeeper. You can ask the driver to take you anywhere, anytime.”

“Got it.”

Lilah shot him an OK sign, then turned and left without a second glance.

Since there was a car and a driver at her disposal, why would he still feel the need to personally drive her?

Having both made getting around a lot easier.
