Gabriel narrowed his eyes a little—that was Ethan’s car pulling in.

The sleek Bentley rolled to a slow stop at the front of the estate’s main house.

A tall figure dressed in all black stepped out.

Ethan had gone full black today—black shirt, black slacks. His whole vibe was sharp and unapproachable, his chiseled face devoid of expression. Even under the blazing sun, he gave off this brooding, stormy kind of energy.

“Mr. Blackwell.”

Gabriel stood in the sunlight, looking cool yet approachable in his own way. Compared to the chill coming off Ethan, there was something warmer, more grounded about Gabriel, especially with Lilah standing beside him. The sunlight actually seemed to touch him.
