"You look lovely," he complimented with a smile.
She smiled back. "Thank you. And you...you don't look too bad yourself," she glanced at his appearance, admiring every aspect of him.
Laurie couldn't help but appreciate his handsome, masculine features and the way his shirt hugged him perfectly. She could even see the defined muscles beneath the fabric and catch a hint of his cologne. He looked so refreshing and inviting.
"I hope you're doing well?" she asked, trying not to appear too eager, though her eyes couldn't help but linger on him hungrily.
He exhaled slowly, avoiding her gaze. "Yes, I am," he lied, trying to maintain a calm facade. A small smile helped to cover up the lie he told.
She nodded. "Well, there's something I have to give you," she said, reaching into her handbag. Their conversation was interrupted by a waiter who came to take their order.
She smiled politely at the waiter. "Can you give us a minute, please?"
