The Job Offer. Part 3
There’s a short knock on the dressing room’s door. When I answer, Victor pokes his head through the gap.
“Cora, we’re—damn, you look amazing. I bet Adam’s going to think so too.” He smirks. “Come on out. We’re ready to begin.”
His comment that Adam will like the way I’m dressed makes my stomach quivery. I take a deep breath to calm myself down and pad out of the dressing room on bare feet. I follow behind Victor as he leads me to the set.
The set looks like a deluxe suite with its muted tones of eggshell and powder blue, a king-sized bed with tufted headboard, and a plush ivory carpet.
Daphne sits in one of the two folding chairs just left of the camera. She smiles and waves at me as I pass. Adam is sitting on the bed. He’s shirtless but still in his jeans. His expression is mildly uncomfortable. However when he sees me approaching, he straightens, his features alert.
