That was her name.
Soft and delicate, just like her.
It rolled off the tongue like a whispered secret, sweet and haunting.
Maybe she was Rasmus’ truth, the hidden verse in his song. He played me like a violin. He said Ruka wasn’t his fiancée—so was he already hiding Lila in his darkness?
A muse he cherished while I was nothing more than an echo, fading in his sleuth.

If she was his truth, then what was I? A distraction? A momentary thrill before he returned to her? Every word he said to me now feels empty, like hollow promises drifting in the wind.
