“Yeah, well, good luck with that,” I rolled my eyes. “Rasmus isn’t exactly the type to take orders.”

“Neither am I,” Luca shot back, his grin widening.

“Great. Just what I needed—two alpha males butting heads,” I muttered, shaking my head.

“Could be worse,” Luca quipped. “He could be a pushover.”

“True,” I conceded, a smile tugging at my lips. “But let’s not make things any more complicated than they already are, okay?”

He gave me a long look, then finally nodded. “Okay. But if you need me—”

“I know,” I said, cutting him off with a genuine smile this time. “You’ll be right there, ready to knock some sense into him.”

“Damn straight,” he replied, and his eyes softened. “And now tell me who he got pregnant?”

Ugh… why was I expecting him to forget it?

I groaned inwardly, wondering why I ever thought he might forget about that. Luca was like a dog with a bone, and once he latched onto something, he wouldn’t l
