Chapter 80. Wrath
Xerina’s POV
“Luca,” I breathed, already moving toward the door. Chrissy was right behind me as I yanked it open and sprinted down the hall, my mind racing with horror. He couldn’t have threatened Rasmus or something. No. If Rasmus was truly the villain here, everything would be ruined though my heart refused to believe any of this.
We turned the corner and found Luca standing in the middle of the corridor, his fist buried in the wall, bits of plaster crumbling around his knuckles. His chest heaved with rage, his eyes wild.
“Luca!” I shouted, rushing over to him. I grabbed his arm, pulling him back. “Stop! This isn’t helping!”
He wrenched his hand free but didn’t lash out again. His breath came in ragged gasps, his face contorted in a mix of pain and fury.
“I can’t just sit back and do nothing,” he growled.
“We’re not doing nothing,” my grip tightened on his arm. “But tearing down walls won’t solve anything. We need to think.”
