Xerina’s POV
Blood flowed freely from Leon’s wounds, painting his face and body in crimson.
He staggered but didn’t fall, stubbornly holding his ground even as his strength waned. His eyes, however, never wavered. They remained locked on Rasmus, filled with something that sent chills down my spine. He wasn’t fighting to win—he was fighting to prove something, but what, I couldn’t understand.
Why was he even provoking him when he didn’t want to even fight?
I felt my heart break a little more. This wasn’t the Rasmus I knew.
I couldn’t watch it anymore. The brutality, the blood, the senseless violence—I couldn’t bear it. My throat tightened as I tried to summon the courage to yell at Rasmus to stop, to beg him to spare Leon. But before I could find my voice, a familiar sound cut through the air.
