Chapter 88. I Want You Too

Xerina’s POV

I couldn’t let this distance grow any wider between us.

I made my way to the dining room, I could feel the weight of the day pressing down on me. My footsteps echoed, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was lurking just out of sight. I forced myself to focus, to push down the anxiety that had been bubbling up inside me since Rasmus started ignoring me.

When I arrived at the dining room, it was already bustling with people. The long table was set with a lavish spread, and the Alphas and their Lunas were gathered, engaged in low conversation. I scanned the room, searching for Rasmus, my heart skipping a beat when I didn’t see him immediately.

“Xerina,” a voice called softly, and I turned to see Luca approaching, his expression concerned. “You okay?”

I forced a smile, nodding as I tried to steady my nerves. “Yeah, I’m fine. Just… looking for Rasmus.”

Luca sighed, rubbing the back of his neck as he glanced around the ro
