Xerina’s POV
Before Luca could throw another punch, Rasmus moved with a speed and grabbed Luca’s wrist, his grip ironclad, and without hesitation, raised his other fist high. The crowd fell into a hushed silence, the tension thick enough to cut with a knife. I shut my eyes tight, bracing myself for what I knew was coming.
The sickening sound of bone meeting bone echoed through the arena, and a gasp escaped my lips. My heart pounded in my chest as I forced myself to open my eyes. What I saw made my stomach drop—Luca was lying unconscious on the ground, his body crumpled in a heap at Rasmus’s feet.
The man beside me snickered, his voice dripping with cruel satisfaction. “One punch is all it took.”
