Chapter 14. Too Noisy

Daisy’s POV

Breaking the tension, a voice cut through the awkwardness like a ray of sunshine after a storm.

“How are you feeling?” Liam asked. The simple question, filled with genuine concern, as it lifted the weight of discomfort that had settled in the room.

“I’m Just managing, you know how it is,” I replied with a casual tone, trying too hard to keep it together.

“This is more than just managing,” he replied, carefully observing my injured leg. “The way you sprang up to hug me shows that your injury is getting better, “Liam added jokingly.

“Yes it’s getting better,” I replied.
