Chapter 16. The Familiar Gaze

Daisy’s POV

“Has he left?” I wondered as I stood at the door eavesdropping and as soon as I heard the sound of footsteps approaching I hurriedly went to lay on my bed and wrap myself up with a blanket.

Draco entered, silently moving closer to me, my heart was racing as I shut my eyes tightly trying my best to stay still and pretending to be deep in the Dreamland.

He adjusted my blanket, placed his hands on my forehead to check my temperature, and waited for a while, trying to check how deep I was into the dreamland before he then dashed out of the room.

I never noticed it before, but for like few days now I’ve been more observant. And I have realized that Draco leaves the mansion very late at night. And no matter how long I stay up, I never see him return. But In the morning, there he is as if he never left at all.

It’s like a mystery unfolding before my eyes, leaving me wondering where he goes and what he does in the dead of night.
