Chapter 70. The Luna Is Missing

Alaric’s POV

I felt a sense of unease creeping over me as I thought about Delilah’s strange behavior. Something was off, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that everything wasn’t as it seemed.

Her sudden forgiveness of my past wrongs only added to my concerns. I needed guidance, and there was only one person I could turn to, Magnus.

I walked over to my drawer and retrieved a small, intricately carved ring. It was a token given to me by Magnus himself, allowing me to summon him in times of need.

I moved to the corner of the room, away from prying eyes, and wore the ring. I used salt to create a circle and light candles around, I raised my hand Focusing my thoughts, I whispered the ancient words of summoning.

The air around me began to shimmer and swirl, like the eddies of a river. A faint hum filled the air, growing louder until it became a low rumble. Suddenly, a brilliant light illuminated the room, and Magnus appeared before me.
