Chapter 73. Playing With Fire

Delilah’s POV

“Come on, we need to go now!” Liam said, his voice filled with urgency.

I felt a surge of fear and my heart raced as I stared at Liam in panic. I thought to myself, Oh no, they are taking me back to Blackwood Pack! I can’t go back there! I can’t face whatever awaits me in that palace!

My mind raced with terrible thoughts and my body trembled with fear. I couldn’t move or speak, frozen in fear at the thought of being dragged back to the palace.

Liam quickly moved closer to me, his eyes filled with concern. “Hey, calm down, it is okay, We are not going to Blackwood Pack, I promise. We are going to our pack, a safe place. You will be okay, I’m here with you.” He spoke softly and gently, trying to comfort me and calm my fears.
