Chapter 81. Starting a War

Draco’s POV

“Did the mission go as planned?” I asked, my eyes fixed intently on the guard. I was worried and anxious, and I couldn’t hide it.

I had been waiting for what felt like an eternity for the guards to return, and I needed to know that everything had gone smoothly.

“Yes, my lord,” the guard replied, his voice firm and respectful.

“We carried out your orders exactly as you gave them, and Alaric’s men were terrified by our presence” he replied.

“Did you manage to deliver my message?” I asked, my voice firm and cold.

“Yes, we delivered the message, and I’m certain that Alaric received it,” he replied, his voice sharp and confident.

“Good, you have done a great job,” I said, feeling a sense of relief wash over me.

“Then there is no problem, I was worried that the message might not have gotten through, but if Alaric has it, we can rest and await their response.” I nodded, feeling a sense of satisfaction.
