Chapter 9. Do You Have the Girls?

Alaric’s POV

As he drew closer, the air crackled with an unspoken energy, each step deliberated and measured added to the tension, as I braced myself for the conversation that was about to unfold.

Why is he here, how serious could the matter be for him to have come, what if someone sees him?

“Why are you looking so surprised, Are you not expecting to see me,” Magnus questioned,

My voice caught my throat, struggling to find the right words in the face of this unforeseen encounter.

“This not what we planned, you aren’t supposed to come here,” I whispered.

“You didn’t keep to the plan and that’s why I am here,” he replied, he didn’t look happy and I feared I might be the cause of that.

“We can talk about it somewhere else...” but he didn’t budge, he just stood there staring at me.

“You know the wolves can’t stand the witches, what if someone sees you?” With a cautious tone, I inquired.

“No one saw me, have you forgotten I’m a
