I stormed out of the cinema, rage burning through my chest until it felt like my ribs might crack.

Daphne shouldn’t have had that kind of power over me.

But she did.

I hated that someone like Daphne could make me so angry.

I had always been a ticking time bomb, but with her, I’d gotten worse.

My claws started to extend, biting hard into the soft flesh of my palm. My wolf was on the surface, already fighting me for control.

He had wanted to storm over earlier and yank off the head of that Kane guy, but I just had to restrain him. If he had his way, we’d have Daphne on our shoulder right now, walking towards my house.

He was going crazy, and he wanted his mate fast. Daphne would be the end of me if I wasn’t careful, and I know it so damn well.
