Daphne

After what happened at the park yesterday, I kept expecting something else to go wrong.

Every shadow felt too sharp. Every sound made my heart jump.

Still, nothing happened.

I noticed one of the guards close to me, and it managed to bring a sense of comfort to me. But the bond’s calmness superseded every other external calmness, it managed to convince my brain into believing that everything was under control.

I was escorted back home by the guard with Zac nowhere in sight. I didn’t hear or see anything from him till I slept off at night.

As I woke up this morning, he was the first person my mind traveled to. The urge to see him and hear his voice overshadowed the part of my mind that wants to stop thinking about him.

Today being Sunday, my parents decided to not open up the cinema. After the stressful and long week, everyone needed to rest. I got into the shower, preparing to join them downstairs.
