She was murdered?

I drew my brows as I walked away. Could it be Zachary’s enemy? Was that why he was being protective?

What if I was targeted by this same enemy too? I stopped walking and searched around, trying to see if someone was watching me.

I had a feeling someone has been watching me, even though I’ve never caught the person. What if they were targeting to kill me?

The thought of it got goosebumps crawling up my skin.

“We need help in the kitchen,” one of the volunteers said, distracting me from my thoughts which I was grateful for.

I nodded and quickly went to the kitchen.

Even though this was the meeting of just the elders, Zachary still wasn’t present. Since he left my room earlier today, he hasn’t returned.
