Chapter 104. Couldn’t Afford Losing Another Parent

Something woke Scarlett up before daylight. It was an alarm in her mind that alerted "danger." Scarlett didn't know why, but she had wondered why she would wake up before her alarm. It had never before happened. Without arousing any of her friends, she got out of bed and went to the window. A strong breeze blew her way as she opened her window.

"Why am I even awake at this time? Not even dawn has broken yet." She returned to her bed and went to sleep. When the hour hit seven, her alarm went off. Scarlett rose from her bed. It wasn't at all comfy, but she sensed something inside. Her body has been trying to warn her about danger for reasons she cannot explain.

The sound of the phone starting to ring can be heard downstairs. That phone hadn't received a call for a long time. Scarlett walked downstairs when the phone kept ringing and no one came to answer it. She heard footsteps as she was making her way to the phone and turned around to find Mia approaching her.
