Chapter 39. Something Beyond Our Grasp

"I think this is the place." Scarlett shut off the engine of her vehicle. The car was parked far away from the hospital building. They'd all stayed in her car for hours, and when the time hit 6:30pm, Scarlett decided to go to the hospital. She'd believe the staff would have been reduced during this time, and it would finally be okay for them to sneak into the hospital to find the laboratory.

"People are still inside, Scarlett." Avery looked out and saw a security guard standing right in front of the gate. "How do we get in?"

"It is obvious that we cannot enter through the front door. Either way, we fly the fence." She gave Cornelia a quick look. "Stay in the car. Avery and I will go."

Cornelia gave a headshake. "No way. I can't be the only one in the car. I would shit myself before you guys even get back. I am coming with you." She was the first person to exit the vehicle, and the others soon after. Scarlett managed to find a fence for them to climb through.
