I was standing face to face with my dad. Dimitri sat on the sofa with one leg over the other, his book was beside him and, he brought the glass to his lips as his eyes went between me and his friend.

“Kade as a son? That belittling idiot who couldn’t keep not one but two girls? He had two chances, and he fucked up!” Saliva flew from my mouth, and my dad was glaring at me.

“He is more of a man than you, son, and you need to measure up!” More of man than me? Kade was nothing. Everyone looked at him like some fucking god who could do no wrong, but he was no better than me. I could fight just as well, I could get the same fucking girls, and I knew how to keep them.
