Chapter 135. A Desperate Family

Grace’s POV

“I am definitely on the side of what is good for this family,” Mother speaks, her face still so pale and dull.

She has been like this since Ayana left. In the shortest of time, she has lost that beauty she once exuded. She is always not in the mood. She skips meals every now and then for no reason at all. She has even stopped going to the office, always using the lame excuse that she is not feeling well.

“What is good for this family is not losing our empire. Which is why we have to do all we can to see to it that Ayana honors this deal.” Father explains to her slowly.

She scoffs. “I would suggest that we start exploring other possibilities of saving our company and our own skin, or just sit and watch the company go down as well as wait to pay for our sins.”

Pardon me? What is she talking about? Other possibilities? She does not want her daughter to save us anymore. Why? Is her conscience this deep? And what do we have to be punished
