“Mom?” I speak after a very long moment, and honestly, my patience is wearing so thin with this woman. “You have nothing to be afraid of. Your daughter will not get hurt. It is not like we are sending her a warlord; come on!” I scratch my eyebrows.
She scoffs, jeering at my words. “So she is now my daughter? When did she stop being your sister for you to hate her this way?”
